TCDF :Thai Child Development Foundation, in Thailand

The Thai Child Development Foundation (TCDF) is set up in 2004 with the aim to help children in their development. Without taking them out of their homes. TCDF supports underprivileged children with medical care, special need education, nutrition and scholarships. Besides the various outreach programs in the surrounding mountain villages, TCDF also runs a Forest School with organic farm. Special need students attend this school where as they grow into young adults they can also learn an occupation. TCDF aims towards self sustainability on a local level, not only in food but also in finance: the Forest school and farm also host events, school camps and company team buildings. Visitors can stay in the riverside jungle resort of TCDF's main sponsor Ecologic Thailand. This resort organizes Holiday for Charity packages for both individuals and groups and all(!)profit goes back to the Forest school, the farm and the local community.
