DAF - Leyland Trucks

Leyland Trucks operates from one of Europe's most advanced truck assembly facilities, the Leyland Assembly Plant. Employing approximately 1,000 people, we manufacture the full range of DAF product, exporting around 40% worldwide. We also design the LF truck, with a team of skilled engineers working from our cutting edge site. Leyland Trucks continues to support DAF's excellent 27 years of consecutive UK market leadership. In 2021, we celebrated our 125 year anniversary of truck building and delivered the 500,000th vehicle to be built from our current facility. The Battery Electric LF was launched in May, expanding PACCAR's offerings of zero emission vehicles. Leyland Trucks and the BEV LF were selected for a U.K. Zero Emissions Road Freight demonstration project, featured in the U.K. Department of Transportation's 2021 Decarbonization Plan, and the BEV LF was on display at the UN Climate Change Conference (COP26) in Glasgow. Our commitment to safety enabled us to again achieve the RoSPA Patron's Award recognizing 26 years of outstanding safety.
