Special Waste System A/S – also known as SWS – is a waste company on NordFalster, Denmark. SWS processes 5.000 tons of hazardous waste a year. SWS has an incineration plant with own rotary kiln, for incineration of hazardous waste. Examples are clinical risk waste, including pathological waste and dead animals, as well as oil and chemical waste, including oil waste, organic-chemical waste, pesticide waste, pharmaceutical and drug waste, etc. Environment: SWS is located in a small industrial area in Nørre Alslev. In the years gone by, SWS has utilized heavy resources on the environment and safety work. SWS has a certified environment management system in which the safety work, too, has been integrated. This is a contributory reason why hazardous waste is disposed of in an environmentally appropriate and safe manner at SWS. SWS is approved by the ISO 14001 standards.
