St. Joseph Catholic Church

Since 1868, St. Joseph Catholic Church has proclaimed the Gospel of Jesus Christ within the Piedmont Deanery of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Charleston--specifically, within the Greater Anderson Area of South Carolina--through the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church and her Magisterium. Now served by the Franciscan Friars of Holy Name Province in New York, St. Joseph remains as the home parish for "Anderson's Oldest Private School" (Est. in 1967) as well as the roughly 40 various ministry opportunities for its over 750 active parishioner households. Through the parish's missions of "Prayer & Worship," "Formation & Evangelization," "Community Building," "Community Outreach," and "Stewardship & Communication" the people of God are "building faith and knowldege for life" in their efforts towards seeking the salvation of souls.
