Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District (NBMLHD) provides innovative, world-class healthcare to more than 380,000 people living in the Blue Mountains, Hawkesbury, Lithgow and Penrith local government areas. We operate four main hospitals, a number of Community Health Centres and a range of other services including Drug & Alcohol, Mental Health, Cancer Care and Population Health. Our District consists of both urban and semi-rural areas covering almost 9,179 square kilometres. Our vision is to together, achieve better health for our people and communities. A large number of staff employed across NBMLHD live within the community, so our employees have a vested interest in services provided and the reputation of our facilities. Our largest hospital, Nepean Hospital, is an internationally renowned teaching hospital with links to leading universities. Our hospitals in the Blue Mountains and Lithgow also maintain strong links with local education providers and are valued within their communities as both essential services and major employers.
