The Port of Tyne in North East England is one of the UK's major deepsea ports—a vital trading gateway to world-wide markets. It also operates an international passenger terminal with a growing range of cruise operators and a daily ferry service together with a portfolio of commercial properties and land holdings. As a Trust Port the Port receives no government funding, it is run on an entirely commercial basis and reinvests all profits back into the Port for the benefit of its stakeholders, who are customers, employees, business, government and community.
