Al Khaleej Development Company "Tameer" BSC (closed) is the largest premier real estate investment and development company in the Kingdom of Bahrain, operating in accordance with the principles of Islamic Sharia, with projects in the pipeline and assets under management of approximately US$ 5 billion and a land bank of more than 4 million square meters. Tameer's core business activities range from mixed use and infrastructure developments, asset management, real estate investment advisory, corporate real estate services, facilities management and construction services. Headquartered in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Tameer has managed to diversify itself becoming the first comprehensive real estate solutions provider in the Kingdom. Up until the end of 2008, Tameer was a public listed company in both the Bahrain and Kuwait Stock Exchanges with a capital of US$ 97.37 million in 2008 up from US$16 million since inception in 2002. Following the strategic decision to expand the company's activities, Tameer BSC was transformed into Inovest BSC, a grade (A) full-fledged investment company regulated by the Central Bank of Bahrain and listed in both the Bahrain and Kuwait Stock Exchanges. Consequently, Tameer has been reintroduced as a Bahraini closed shareholding company wholly owned by Inovest BSC. Tameer continues to maintain its objectives of being a specialized real estate investment & development company and an active player in the local and regional markets.
