The Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives is Canada's leading independent, non-partisan research institute concerned with issues of social, economic and environmental justice. Founded in 1980, the CCPA has shaped Canada's public policy debates for forty years on issues ranging from access to services like child care to how Canada can prepare for a truly just transition away from fossil fuels. We have a National Office in Ottawa, and provincial offices in British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, and Nova Scotia. We work with top-notch researchers to shed light on the key issues facing Canada. Whether it's how renters are getting squeezed out of the housing market, the growing gap between the ultra-rich and the rest of us, or how Canada will can build an equitable recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic, we set the record straight.
