We are an international group of environmental practitioners specialised in waste management, resource and energy efficiency and environmental improvement. We are incorporated in the UK and constituted as a European Cooperative Society (SCE) under European Council Regulation No 1435/2003 with headquarters in Sofia, Bulgaria. This organisational form allows us to operate seamlessly throughout Europe and internationally in the sharing of knowledge and development of professional capacity in the environmental management sector. RWA is a niche specialized company, with a dynamic management structure, which helps us to adapt to the changes going on in the sector worldwide. The prospects and horizons of our professional sector are rapidly expanding. Although traditionally an ‘orphan' subject, policy attention on resources and waste management has now sharpened considerably. Ocean plastics, Climate change, Sustainable development, Circular economy, Green growth are converging agendas. This opens up opportunities for dynamic new services and supply industries. How effectively, and how quickly, countries align their policy, institutional, financial, economic and environmental regulatory frameworks to meeting the new challenges will have a long lasting effect on the competitiveness of their economy and the social welfare of citizens. RWA has experience in the full range of resource, waste management and sustainable living environment sector issues, working from cabinet to street level. Together with national, regional and local governments, we help to design, refine, establish and implement sector policies, strategies and plans, and strengthen the professional capacity of institutions and organisations. Coupled with this, RWA has strong practical skills in project programming, feasibility, technology selection, and implementation.
