WeP was established in the year 1988 as a part of Wipro's domestic IT business. In September 2000, Wipro spun off its IT Peripherals business into a separate independent company Wipro e-Peripherals Limited, which was later renamed as WeP Peripherals Limited. It is one of the largest employee-owned companies in India. After a series of acquisitions, business diversifications and corporate restructuring exercises, all business lines at WeP are now operating under WeP Solutions Limited, a public limited company listed at Bombay Stock Exchange. Starting primarily with Dot Matrix Printers, WeP is now diversified into emerging and growing segments like Managed Printing Services, Retail Printing Solutions, SaaS-based Digital Services and Solutions. WeP has two state of art manufacturing facilities at Mysore (Karnataka) and Baddi (Himachal Pradesh) to enable superior product development with specialized experts in the R&D team. WeP is a pioneer in providing Managed Printing Services (MPS) to India corporates. MPS as a concept was introduced in India by WeP and today it is a LEADER in the Indian MPS market. It has more than 500 happy top corporates being serviced in more than 2000 locations spread across India. Continuing its focus on diversification and identification of new potential areas, WeP has started investing and focussing on developing and providing Digital Services. In this journey, WeP has got empanelment as a GST Suvidha Provider (GSP) from GSTN and has built SaaS-based GST/e-Invoice/E-Waybill solutions to address enterprises GST requirement. To bring in digital transformation for all departments within enterprises, WeP has brought in "Low Code Development Platform", "Workflow Automation" , "Document repository" and "Business intelligence" platforms.
