Austral Cimentos Sofala S.A. is a Mozambican company that consists mainly of shareholders of foreign capital , dedicated to the sole production of Portland cement type for the construction sector. ACS plays a very important role in creating conditions for growth and development of the national economy , not only in Sofala Province and across the central region of the country. The implementation of this project represents a key milestone in the national cement industry, providing greater capacity and diversity on the supply side. Our factory incorporates the most modern technological production concepts and is able to respond to more than 400 000 tons of cement per year demand. ACS is proud to produce cement of the highest quality in compliance with international standards, and is focused on quality, customer satisfaction and compliance with the most stringent standards and laws regarding Workplace Safety and Environment . Our culture of quality is best exemplified by the advanced technology employed to ensure that a high quality is attained and sustained through the manufacturing process on producing the highest quality of cement. How ACS Plant works? 1. Clinker, Gypsum and Limestone are transported from the storage site into the Feeding unit. 2. Raw materials are added into the feeding system automatically as per the product recepy. 3. All the Ingredients are then grinded in order to achieve the required fineness. 4. The final product is then stored into the Silos. All the manufacturing processes done are of the highest sophisticated quality. ACS takes an average of 15 minutes to load a truck with a capacity of 30 tons (600 bags). ACS cement is a high quality cement prepared from a well selected range of raw materials. We are equipped with a laboratory Mill for research and development of ACS products. Our cement laboratory is capable of doing all chemical and physical analysis of the cement with complete necessary equipments as per EN standards.
