Our mission is to engage in a process of teaching and learning that inspires excellence in academic performance, encourages life-long learning, builds self-respect and respect for others, and develops responsible leaders and citizenry. Through this model, BCS students will be carefully prepared to enter, advance and succeed in all highly rated middle and high schools of choice. The Brooklyn Charter School's curriculum is based on the most recent research; is developmentally appropriate and addresses the needs of all learners in a safe, supportive and nurturing environment. With families as partners in the educational process, BCS will build strong relationships between home and school, thereby nurturing a collaboration to sustain a community of learners that is informed, creative and confident in its identity.
