Speaking at the launching ceremony here on Sunday, Waste Busters CEO Asif Farooki said plastic bags had become problem of epidemic nature by clogging sewerage systems, polluting agricultural fields and becoming an eyesore in all towns and cities. The government had not been able to curb the menace of plastic pollution during the past 10 years.
