Since our first official day of operation nearly 50 years ago, our transportation programs have evolved to meet the demands of a changing Nation. Today, DOT is composed of the Office of the Secretary, the Office of the Inspector General and 10 Operating Administrations. At the DOT, the safety of the people who travel is our top priority.
