SharedLands offers products (herbs, fruits, vegetables, ornamentals and native plants) and services (consultation and fast garden design) grounded in sustainable specialty horticulture. This base of knowledge and experience is central to our work. We employ organic approaches and practices in our production and advisory work. - We grow plants at small scale and are certified nurserymen with the State of Illinois. - We help create private residential gardens as well as community projects and programs. Our work spans the gamut from ornamental to productive and native plants and the environments in which they coexist and thrive . . .often considering beauty, sustenance and sustainability in integrated ways to create uniquely restorative landscapes. As a people-planet-profit company, we try to focus on how greenspace can help encourage the spirit, heal the mind and nourish the body--so that, collectively, we can all strengthen, restore and care for our local communities now and long into the future. SharedLands began life on a farm in Princeton, and moved to Tiskilwa in 2020. We no longer operate farmland; we now operate a plant nursery on a smaller footprint, and still uses regenerative organic methods whenever it is realistic to do so. We are not open to the public.
