Like many success stories, that of JAT also has its beginning in a garage: Our founders, pioneers with a vision, came from the global Zeiss corporation and had the idea and the bravery to found a technology company after the fall of the Berlin Wall. Jena drive technology thus began as a classic garage manufacture. The first years were characterised by conquering a market that was unknown to us, searching for and finding investors and customers who had faith in us, and learning from the competitors. The result was a company that recognised its employees as its most important resource from the very beginning. Our collective goal: to be the technology specialist in the automation industry. Our 170 employees develop and manufacture servo components and highly complex positioning and motion systems for customers with demanding industrial applications.
