The Boerne Independent School District is an award-winning district nestled in the scenic Texas Hill Country. This supportive Boerne community places a high priority on education, reflected in the reputation for excellence that Boerne ISD has built and sustained through the years. Boerne ISD has an enrollment of over 10,800 students as of January 2023. Boerne ISD is one of the fastest-growing school districts in Texas, and with more than 1,300 faculty and staff, Boerne ISD is the largest employer in the community. BISD teachers have dedicated professionals whose commitment to excellence is recognized consistently on regional, state, and national levels. Some of our district's main points of pride are receiving three consecutive TEA "A" Ratings, the BISD Board being selected as Best in the Region, BISD being named to the AP District Honor Roll by the U.S. College Board, and receiving the Best Communities for Music Education designation, among other honors.
