Noorul Islam University also Called as NI University, formerly Noorul Islam College of Engineering, is a private co-educational university located in Kumarakovil, Thuckalay, Kanyakumari District Tamil Nadu, India. The Institution was founded in 1989 by Dr.A.P.Majeed Khan and it has now been declared as a Deemed University by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India at 8 December 2008. The University is now run by Noorul Islam Centre for Higher Education(NICHE) Society. The Institution is an ISO 9001:2000 Certified Institution Noorul Islam university has consolidated different disciplines into seven Schools of Excellence University's programmes are recognised by a range of accreditation boards including International Accreditation Organization (IAO), USA, NBA, New Delhi and Institute of Engineers (India). The Institution is recognised as SIRO of DST,Govt.of India in 2008. Accreditation of all eligible programs by NBA, AICTE. The university is approved by the University Grants Commission, All India Council for Technical Education and is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). It has been given an overall 'A' Grade by NAAC. According to National Institutional Ranking Framework Ranking Noorul Islam University was in 75th Place As of 2016 Ranking among 754 universities in India.
