The Fruit and Vegetable Dispute Resolution Corporation (DRC) is a membership-based organization serving the produce trade. DRC provides harmonized standards, procedures and services for members to help them avoid commercial disputes. When differences of opinion occur, DRC provides consultation, mediation and arbitration services to resolve the issue in a timely and cost-effective manner. Who can join? • Growers, shippers, wholesalers, retailers, foodservice distributors and brokers who handle fresh fruits and vegetables. • Carriers, transportation intermediaries and freight contractors who are engaged in the transportation of fresh fruits and vegetables. Membership benefits include: • Greater commercial assurance when dealing with other DRC members • DRC provides dispute prevention education to members via confidential consultation, the DRC Help Desk, seminars, fact sheets, our Solutions e-newsletters and more • Improved business networking and access to up to date information on potential domestic and international trading partners • DRC, when necessary, provides members with fast, fair and enforceable solutions to disputes arising in the course of member-to-member transactions. • Canadian law exempts DRC members from Canadian licensing requirements • DRC deals with all types of disputes including condition and payment issues that occur between members internationally or domestically (even within provinces) ALL SERVICES ARE PROVIDED IN ENGLISH, FRENCH AND SPANISH
