The Aradhya family traces back its roots in Davangere, Karnataka, India to over 200 years and currently operates a wide range of activities such as hospitals, education and banking, construction, food processing, concrete pipes and poles. Aradhya Steel Group was founded in 1971 by Mr. IM Aradhya after his engineering along with his brothers with a borrowed start-up capital of Rs. 5000 (~USD 100). The brothers' first venture was into manufacture of hardware products. Wire manufacturing began as a backward-integrated project from nails and subsequently expanded into high carbon steel wires and wire ropes.
